Francesco and Anna’s beers

The passion for beer is what pushed Francesco to open his business, in partnership with his sister Anna who helps him from a bureaucratic point of view. The premises were there: with a three-year degree in Food Science and Technology in 2006 and a brewing course in Padova in 2013, home-brewed beer was not a simple experiment. So in 2020 what was a passion became a full-time job. The link with the territory can already be perceived from the name, BIG – “Gemonese Independent Beer”, and from the location, in the heart of Gemona. Even his recipes do not lack a strong territorial connotation, in fact the beers produced with the local cinquantino corn variety and with chillies from B-orto peppers, a small agricultural company in Gemona, stand out. His recipes are created to satisfy the most diverse palates: his Porters, IPAs, Saisons, Lagers and Bitters are excellent representatives of extremely different styles that deserve to be discovered.
